Our Heroes

Frankitas is a Malaysian-born brand with contemporary accessories and home decor pieces honoring heritage in textiles and skilled artisans throughout South and Central Asia.

Frankitas practices sustainability through supporting hand-made and hand-knotted textiles in the brands collection of products, leveraging plant-based dyes and promoting our rich history in textiles and vintage rugs. Frankitas is committed to supporting our team of skilled artisans from Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Africa and Central Asia and in celebrating artisans for their skill in making something beautiful with their hands.

Frankitas accessories of headbands and earrings comprises designs in collaboration with skilled artisans in Asia respecting their craftsmanship and intricacies in design work.

Frankitas Home pays tribute to hand-knotted vintage rugs from Central Asia to hand-woven plant-based dyed Ikat- featured on lampshades and cushions and recycled paper mache decor.

Frankitas is committed to playing a part in being eco- and socially-conscious in the products we design together with our artisans. Making the most of natural fibers, plant dyes and materials such as wool, silk and recycled paper & plastics, the Collection consists of designs meant to last for generations, have less waste and also provide incoming-generating opportunities to highly skilled artisans in remote areas of Central and South East Asia. Fulfilling the lives of artisans and bringing their creations to your home is part of our dream at Frankitas.

Frankitas aims to build a working community by creating opportunities for economically disadvantaged crafters in remote areas so that they may continue to create traditional works of art. These elements are synonymous in the signature statement of a Frankitas.
To achieve this, FRANKITAS purchases textiles at fair prices either directly from the weavers or through NGO’s that represent them, in places like the villages of Indonesia, Flores Island Lombok and many more.
FRANKITAS’ collection is handcrafted by talented men and women from different parts of Indonesia and Malaysia; Titin Martini from Bogor, Ahmadi Yaacob from Pahang, Luh Ria from Bali and Ibu Ina Miatim from Lombok and David and Ah Lam from Malaysia.
